◆ e-sportsのジェンダー問題

『Hearthstone』大会出場は男性限定、eスポーツのジェンダー差別に批判殺到 [gamespark]
意識して考えたことが無い問題でハッとさせられました。
e-sportsへの女性参画を促すのが目的であれば女性限定の大会、Starcraft2のZOWIE DIVINA CUPのようなイベントを別途行うのが適切かと思われます。
たしかに女性プレイヤーは数少ない上に、一日に12～14時間も競技的な練習をするとなればごくごく僅か。Starcraft2でも本当に一線級で通用すると言ったらScarlettひとりくらいしか思い浮かびませんが、だからといってコンペティティブシーンは男性限定なんてのはナンセンスでしょうね。

IeSFの一連の対応を見るにつけ、深く考えず慣例的に古臭い規定に則ったように窺えます。
この件は恐ろしくあちこちに飛び火しまくって今週大騒ぎとなり、ジェンダーが絡む案件においてはほんのちょっとの無神経さが命取りということを印象付けられました。マジコワイ
